Who Am I?

Hi, I'm Victoria - a Registered Dietitian who wants to help you live your most vibrant, healthy life, by finding foods that bring you nourishment, health and happiness. I understand that you eat the foods you do because of highly complex reasons, which I want to hear all about. Join me on a judgement-free journey to achieving your food and nutrition goals!

I am Victoria Cox, a Dietitian and member of good standing with the Nova Scotia Dietetic Association.

I have a love for all things food related, and strongly believe in the power of having a healthy relationship with food. My passion lies in helping individuals develop life-long healthy dietary habits, rather than focusing on quick-fixes based on faulty or down-right false science. I believe in paying attention to the body’s needs and eating real foods that nourish and energize.

While I am Barbadian, my academic journey with food and nutrition began at Acadia University in Nova Scotia, Canada, where I completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Nutrition. I have a keen interest not only in evidence-based practice, but in actually conducting research, and therefore decided to complete a research based Master of Science Degree in Applied Human Nutrition at Mount Saint Vincent University. This degree was a combination of advanced-level Nutrition courses, a Masters Thesis (mine focused on eating behaviours through the lens of the Social Cognitive Theory) and an integrated Dietetic Internship Program.
